Mysterious times - what to do?

Mysterious times - what to do?

It is true that events in our world seem to be coming at an accelerating pace and the last few years with Covid and the subsequent conflicts in the East and now also in the Middle East seem to be making the globe move even faster.

We are experiencing massive changes at all levels, whether political, economic or, in particular, the fact that our Judeo-Christian world view and the associated moral concepts in the Western world are increasingly deteriorating. Many things that worked a few years ago are suddenly no longer working. The problems are increasing and everything is becoming more and more complex. This was not the case for many of us for a long time. What can we do in such times of uncertainty, depression and perhaps even hopelessness?

In the book of Genesis, Moses tells us the story of Joseph the dreamer. He was sold abroad by his brothers and declared dead, was slandered and ended up in a prison in the most powerful nation of the time. But in these difficult, lonely and disillusioning circumstances, he had something to hold on to and draw hope from. His revelation, which he had received from God years before. His dreams!

In these mysterious, uncertain times where events may be rushing not only in the world, but also in our lives and families, it is important that we keep in mind what God has said to us in a better day. As with Joseph, his hope in the crisis was in the revelation he had received from God years earlier. It gave him new strength in the midst of depression and impossible situations in a foreign land.

Maybe you are thinking right now "but I haven't really received anything from God for my life... what is my calling? How do I get out of this crisis? I have never heard God..." Then I would encourage you to find a quiet place right now, close your eyes and pour out your heart to God. Then get quiet and ask God to speak to you. Write down what you then think, feel and perceive inwardly.

Cultivate a culture of deep "God-consciousness" in all areas of life. No matter what situation you are facing, be it death, illness, financial insecurity, fears etc... there is a spiritual, a heavenly reality. God wants to give you life and hope. He has a plan, a calling that we can reach out to, that will lead us through these dark valleys and give us light.

If you would like to find out more about how to hear the voice of God or how to discover your true identity and calling, you are welcome to attend one of our seminars on these topics.
