The Pastoral Ministry – Simply Explained
In today's world, many people have a distorted view of pastoral ministry. Many people think that you have to lead an entire church to serve in a pastoral role. However, this is a misconception. In reality, all it takes is an open heart towards others to have a meaningful pastoral ministry. In our seminar, we will explore and understand the various signs of a pastoral calling together.
There is an urgent need for more shepherds in the body of Christ: people who care for the congregation's well-being with love and dedication. This is not about producing more leaders in the traditional sense, but about encouraging many simple followers to serve others in the love and power of the pastoral anointing, even without formal church structures or organisational ties.
Through this seminar, we aim to rediscover and embrace the essence of pastoral ministry. Jesus himself is the true, good shepherd, and we want to delve deeper into this analogy. What defines a good shepherd? How does he ensure that his sheep grow and thrive healthily?
We will also critically examine the characteristics of an unhealthy shepherd and the ways in which they can harm the body of Christ. A shepherd's goal is to strengthen and heal the sheep, helping them to discover and fulfil their purpose. When the sheep are healthy, they naturally multiply in both faith and community.
Join us to discover the heart of the good shepherd. Your understanding of pastoral ministry will be profoundly enriched.
